You can search for friends by entering their name or nickname in the search function. If you are already a friend with the person they will appear in your search results. If you are not already friends, try selecting "Search Glide for..." Once you find your friend, select on their name, then select the three dots in the top right-hand corner and select "Add friend."
You can also add a friend with their Glide ID or phone number. Navigate to the friends' icon on the top blue navigation bar(second icon from the left). Tap on the green plus/person button on the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. You then tap "Add Friend" and enter the Glide ID or the phone number of your friend. Tap "Add" and you're done!.
Please note: The Discover feature was turned off due to overwhelming inappropriate use of the feature and our concern for the safety of our consumers; until we may review measures to block those cases.

▶ To create a video:
- First click on an added friend or family you wish to share a (photo or) video with.
- To create a video: Press the record film camera icon located at the bottom , middle of the app to begin recording. Lift your finger when done. Then you have the option to review the video and send by pressing the red arrow OR you may delete it by tapping on the garbage can icon on the left. Then you can create a new video if needed.
▶ You may also capture a photo by clicking on the camera icon located to the left of the film camera icon, to capture a photo. If you do not like the photo you captured, please delete it (it will delete for you and your receiver).
You can delete any video you send by long pressing on the video and tapping delete.
▶ How to send a text:
When you want to send a text message all you need to do is select the bar where it says "Type here..." and the video preview screen will disappear so that you can type.
If the video is not in full-screen mode you will be able to type and send text messages as you are watching the video. If the video is in full-screen mode and you would like to send a text message, simply tap on the video to exit full-screen mode.
Glide users are responsible for their own content creation. As such, only the message sender has the ability to delete a message they sent.
▶ You can clear the history of a thread by going into the thread you would like clear, pressing the 3 dots at the top right, and selecting Clear Chat History. Please note, clearing the history does not delete the videos on the other person's device. Once you clear your chat history, you will no longer be able to delete the messages you sent in that thread.
▶ Blocking: If there is a user you would no longer like to connect with you can block them. Do this by long pressing on your friend's name and tapping "Block". Please note that if you send another user a message after you have blocked them they will be unblocked.
